Making and building the connections that matter
“When I walk into a big room, I feel overwhelmed, I don’t know how to connect with anyone”.
“I don’t know how to break into a conversation without feeling awkward”.
“At networking events, I just listen and hope someone talks to me”.
“I feel like I could make more of networking opportunities, but struggle”.
If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone. Many people struggle with making and building meaningful connections, whether in professional networking spaces, business meetings or even casual conversations.
In today’s fast-moving, digitally connected world, it’s easy to gather hundreds of contacts on LinkedIn or exchange business cards at events.
But
-
Do those connections really matter?
-
How many have you spoken with in the last six months?
-
And how do you turn those first introductions into relationships built on trust and opportunity?
Following the recent Women in Business Network breakfast with Tulsi van de Graaff of Brave People Solutions and Prof Shelli McAlpine, where participants described the Imposter Syndrome session as ‘amazing’ and a ‘happy boost’, we’re back with another interactive workshop. This time, Tulsi teams up with Paul Jensen, The LinkedIn Strategist, to explore how to make and build the connections that really matter. You’ll learn how to move beyond surface-level networking, feel confident starting conversations and turn digital introductions into real-world relationships that last.
This interactive session will help you move from surface-level connections to ones that truly matter.
What You’ll Gain
Tulsi van de Graaff of Brave People Solutions will share practical strategies to:
